About who needs care: Dad has dementia, possibly Lewy Body or Parkinson's. He likes history, USC football/baseball/basketball and politics. He watches a lot of television and loves his dog. He is very in love with his spouse of 57 years, who also lives with him. His spouse is having health issues and is overwhelmed with the level of care - specifically, medication, keeping doctors straight, motivating Dad to get up in the morning and eat, driving too much. About the care needs: Ideally, a man who has interest in sports. Please do not send anyone who is a Trump person - it is a real trigger for Dad. Should be laid back, but able to enforce a schedule of meds, meals, and exercise. Specialize skills include geriatric care - administrative organizational skills. Familiarity with dementia, Lewy Body. Must be good with dogs and able to help with various tasks -- especially healthy cooking. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
