About who needs care: My 93-year-old mom has dementia and needs help with her personal hygiene. She needs help and encouragement to shower a couple times a week. She also needs someone who can do a couple loads of her laundry, clean her bedroom and bathroom, change her sheets, and prepare her lunch. About the care needs: The caregiver should be friendly and polite by must be able to be firm when needed. My mother likes to be in charge but as her memory goes that can be a problem. The caregiver must also be patient with repeated questions from my mother as her short memory is impaired. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
