About who needs care: My mom has Alzheimer's that presents as severe short-term memory loss while her long-term memory is still mostly intact. She needs help with supervision related to decision-making (for example, she has fallen several times trying to do too much housework and yardwork). She also needs help from time-to-time getting her TV to work. I live in the house with her but need to be out for several hours during the day, and it is becoming clear she needs supervision. We would also be interested in the caregiver being able to live-in as needed for when I am out of town, likely 4 weeks per year. About the care needs: Only females. Would prefer someone who has experience with memory-loss patients. My mom will likely be resistant to care, so ideally the person can handle this at first.
