About who needs care: Both parents 91yrs. Mom walks with a walker, used to sew, is pretty quiet. Dad walks on his own with someone's arm for support, has Alzheimer's but is a very happy camper if spoken to with ease and grace. He's fun to chat with loves basketball, his kids and asks about the dogs we had. Need meals prepared, but fridge will be stocked with easy meals. Both need very light in the house exercise. They love Laker basketball. Mom likes her word find puzzle books. Both need help with showers, but daughters can do that. Dad needs help using the restroom, Mom should be checked on occasionally. 3 daughters all help with caregiving. 1 lives nearby, the other 2 rotate in. About the care needs: Someone patient who has worked with memory care patients and understands how to take their time with a couple of 90 yr olds. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
