My mother just entered Hospice at the age of 106. She is visually handicapped, has dementia with memory loss and confusion but is conversant. She needs to use a wheelchair, occasionally a walker and needs to be transferred. She weighs about 120 lbs. but she lives with me and I am usually available to help. She also needs very simple food prep with some feeding, oral care, medications, toileting and conversation. SCHEDULE: 20 hours a week: all day (10 hours) Thursdays & Fridays, 9am-7 p.m. Can become full time in April. CARE NEEDS: I'm looking for a female with many years of experience, especially with Hospice and dementia. She needs to be gentle, patient, experienced with oral care and toileting. Prefer a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with pets. We have a small, sweet 13-year-old dog. Light housekeeping also needed.
