About who needs care: My mother is 95 and lives on her own. She is very private and reluctant to accept help. She has recently started falling quite a bit and is very thin, forgets to eat and take her meds. She has a caregiver who comes in on weekdays from 12-4 p.m. and can drive her to appointments and grocery shop, etc.; however, this is no longer enough care for her. She does not want to go to an assisted living facility but wants to remain in her own house. About the care needs: She will not do well with anyone who hovers over her. Preferably someone who will be respectful of her privacy / modesty. She is getting fairly confused about timelines, people in her life although sometimes she is also shockingly present. Someone who is a good listener as she has a lot of stories. She is also compulsively neat. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
