About who needs care: Moderate dementia still living independently in her own home. She tends to go to bed late and get up late morning hours. Needs companionship, as well as lighthouse work and transportation for errands some days of the week. May require minimal assistance with meals. She loves getting out of the house to walk in the parks and beach areas as well as art shows and galleries. Very social individual with a mostly pleasant personality. About the care needs: A pleasant and social personality who is interested in talking and listening. Must be healthy and fit for basic outdoor activities like walking in the park and the beach area walkways. Must be a safe driver with no prior accidents and current vehicle registration. No smoker or alcohol drinker. Proximity to Mission Canyon preferred. Some experience with dementia preferred. Cannot be a radical leftist Democrat. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
