About who needs care: My 84-year-old mother has vascular dementia, needs assistance with toileting, dressing, meals and self care. Ideally, the caregiver will help engage with her during those times, help with cleaning, washing linens, prepping and serving meals as needed. The caregiver will also encourage mobility (walking with walker), exercises, music and puzzles or other hobbies of interest. About the care needs: Experience with dementia, a love for music, gardening, a good listener, and someone with patience. Able to assist with lifting, and mobility, and toileting. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
