Weekend Shifts With An 81 Year Old Women With Dementia

Mom is 81, has moderate dementia and peripheral neuropathy. She has sun-risers syndrome with hallucinations and agitation. She needs caregivers who are calm, reassuring, confident, patient, skilled at redirection, and won't take things personally. She is challenging because she is still very aware at times, clear about her preferences, and she has a lot of triggers. She can also be incredibly sweet, funny, and kind. Her best caregivers listen well, pay attention to details, and creatively problem-solve. Duties include toileting, dressing and bathing support, meal prep, med prompts, light housekeeping, fall monitoring, and local outings. We have a good team of caregivers and strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment. Shift is 7am-7 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday. Pay is $25/hour. A copy of a driver's license is required.
