Greetings. My father is a very nice 80 yo handicapped man with impaired hearing, but intact pride and sense of independence. Very well traveled/educated, but struggles with memory, and to remain relevant. He had multiple low back surgeries, and now he lives in pain. His medications make him sleepy. To enjoy his grandchildren, he chooses staying in pain but present. At times, putting an ointment/pain patch on his lower back or hip alleviates the pain. Thank you for being kind to him. This family man/single parent always sacrificed everything for his kids. Needs: 2-3 hours a day - Assist with shower/bathroom, changing his clothes, dining, from one room to the other - Drive to pool therapy, and Dr's appointments. - using a walker regularly (he fell a few times) - Arranging his bed - Making sure he's fed - Stimulating conversations (news, soft politics) I'd be forever grateful if you helped me preserve his dignity.
