About the job
I need companion care from July 5th to July 6th to take care of my mother in San Diego. I would prefer someone who has experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. I would like you to make a video call to me so I can make sure she's alright each day. I'd also like you to make sure she's eating, she takes a while to eat even though she doesn't eat much (for example, a single meal might be half a sandwich eaten over the course of an hour and a half). Hours would be from noon until 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. She's able to answer the door but often needs reminding about where she is and locations inside the house (for example, where the bathroom is, where the kitchen is, where she is etc.). Candidate needs to have a lot of patience for people with Dementia/Alzheimer's.
