About the job
Part time companion for my father who has early dementia. He uses a walker to steady himself. We need help getting him up and ready in the morning. He may need prompting and light assistance with dressing and grooming. You would take him for a walk in beautiful Mission Beach, enjoy the scenery, and visit with him. Prepare his meals (breakfast & lunch), eat with him, and clean up afterwards. He has a positive disposition and is very easy going. He is appreciative and really enjoys the friendship. (Interests include astronomy, geology, music, and chess.) I live around the corner and will be available as needed. Light housekeeping. Preferences for a caregiver with elder care, can take blood pressure, prompt for meds. Non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained. Some additional days & hours could be offered if desired.
