Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Sacramento

About who needs care: We are looking for a companion / assistant for my mother. She's in very good health but she's deaf-blind, so communication is a challenge. She has been heard of hearing / deaf since childhood and was raised with lip reading and speech therapy so she can speak well, but since she has recently become totally blind, she can now not understand most speech. She has studied sign language and has been improving her skills in receiving communication through tactile fingerspelling and sign language, and she can read braille grade 2. She needs someone to help her stay active and engaged, she enjoys walking, outings, nature, gardening, yoga, listening to music, and taking care of her retired guide dog. About the care needs: Ability to fingerspell is absolutely necessary. Any additional experience with ASL or with deaf blind would be beneficial. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
