Companion Care Needed For My Father In Sacramento

About who needs care: 86-year-old dad lives alone in a two-story condo. Has trouble with hearing and mobility and recently had car impounded for expired registration. Very social and has a range of interests. We (his children) both live on the east coast and have no local family that can help him. He is very independent and tough but getting to the point where he needs someone to check in on him and help him with errands/tasks/etc a few times a week. He may be a bit resistant to this but we have held out as long as we thought he could manage on his own. About the care needs: Someone who is tolerant of a slightly weird and occasionally offensive, but very good-hearted senior man. No special skills or hobbies/interests needed. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
