About who needs care: My Father is 71 years old He lives alone in a single story house. At the beginning of this year he was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic and Liver Cancer. We are a Christian family and have full faith in God for my Fathers healing. He is currently dealing with Fatigue, Nausea, difficulty walking so he uses a walker, is receiving meals through a J Tube at this time he is unable to eat and can only drink small amounts of water at a time. My family and I currently looking for a part or full time care taker to assist him with showering, J Tube feedings, Regain his strength through walking, laundry, cleaning, household chores, and Doctor/Chemotherapy appointments, Diaper changes (Using the toilet would be our 1st choice as we are trying to transition my father from relying on diapers to consistently using the toilet) My Father is easy going and laid back, he loves watching and attending Sporting events. He constantly has friends and family visiting him 7 days a week sometimes in large quantities. My Father's ideal structured day: Morning- Shower, J tube feeding (food and medicine) walking, toilet/diaper change, possible doctor and/or Chemotherapy appointment Afternoon- J tube feeding (food), walking, toilet/diaper change, possible doctor and/or Chemotherapy appointment Evening-Shower, prepare for bed, J tube feeding (food and medicine) walking, toilet/diaper change, sleeps consistently throughout the night. About the care needs: My family and I would love to work with a kind, positive, and reliable caregiver. Specialized skills- multi tasking, good judgment, and the ability to assess a situation and determine the different levels of priority. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
