About the job
About who needs care: My husband has a neurological disease and is home bound. I need a kind and responsive person to to stay with him for 2-3 hours, one time each week while I do errands, appointments, etc. He spends most of his day in his comfortable recliner with the tv, computer, napping, etc. He is a sports fan, a retired public educator, enjoys movies and Bible study. His mobility is very limited and requires assistance transferring from the recliner to transport chair. He is a kind, cheerful, and personable man. Thank you. About the care needs: Ideally, someone who is kind and accepting of people. He enjoys conversation but is limited due to his breathing issues, so a calm demeanor is important. His voice can be very soft and he can be difficult to hear, so a good listener is helpful. Services needed include: companionship.
