We are looking for a caretaker to provide a minimum of 2 hours of care a day for my wife who has ALS. We are looking for support between 8:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m. , on Fri, Sat, and Sun mornings. It could be 3-4 hours depending on daily needs which are evolving with ALS. This is a long-term need with no predefined end date. The current care needs include getting my wife out of her power bed into the shower chair for bed/chair bathing, toileting support, flossing/brushing teeth, dressing, medicine/feeding, & light housekeeping. Looking for a caring, patient, & compassionate, non-smoking person who is comfortable working with someone in a power chair full time. Experience operating a Hoyer lift, power chair, speech device, cough assist, mouth "vacuum", & a breathing device (BIPAP) is a plus. We have 2 small dogs & live in Gold River.
