About who needs care: Mainly needs companionship and driving her to errands and doctor/grooming appointments. She is independent in ADLs and mostly independent in IADLs but can get forgetful when she doesn't eat enough or drink enough water. She has recently moved into a new home and misses her friends in her old neighborhood, so she is struggling with depression and loneliness. She craves conversation and attention so we want to find someone who can keep her busy. She sleeps in a bit and usually has a slow start to her morning, and is starting to find a new routine in her new home. About the care needs: Someone patient, who doesn't talk to her like an adult. She is educated, intelligent and opinionated and will want to chat about deeper topics somewhat regularly. Like anyone else who is aging and trying to keep their independence as long as possible, she will need gentle reminders of staying safe and resting, as well as reminders to drink water and eat regularly. She does have a cat who she adores, but he hides under her bed whenever there are visitors. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
