Seeking Part-time Senior Care Provider & Companion In Oakland

Who needs care: I need support caring for my husband, Harvey, who has Alzheimer's and little short term memory. He's kind & sweet and is easily reassured that I will be home soon. He enjoys people. He is never aggressive but can get frustrated when he's confused. Care needs: Need someone to stay from 5:00-7:30 p.m. & have dinner with my husband, watch tv, listen to music. If this is a great it, we can absolutely discuss more hours, overnights, etc. Ideally, we'll find more ways for you to support our family Ideal candidate: Someone with familiarity with dementia, even if only a relative. Someone who is comfortable reassuring & redirecting. Someone who will enjoy spending time with a very kind man & keeping him company. Services needed include: companionship, conversation, basic meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
