Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Newbury Park

About who needs care: - Heart failure for 20+ years, but controlled via meds and a pace maker put in last year. Diabetes and recently insulin dependent. She would like help taking her meds in the AM and starting her day with someone she can also be friendly with. - She recently injured her back so she needs help getting around in the house. We are hoping her mobility issues are temporary. - Her hobbies are her grandchildren who are all in their 30s so she loves to keep track of what they are doing. She also loves QVC, not just for the shopping, but for the fun personalities :) - She starts taking her meds at 7:00 AM, then eats a small snack before taking her insulin. Then she does housework and has an early lunch. Sometimes she eats lunch and sometimes she does not. Then she takes a nap. About the care needs: A sense of humor is key because when she is in pain she can be crabby, but a joke or sarcastic comment will snap her out of it :) On that note, someone who will not take her pain reaction personally. When she is not in pain she is a delight :) Someone with an inspirational mindset to help her know her back pain is temporary, and she will get through it while still exercising what she can to stay fit to get back to being independent again :) Also someone that is a active listener as she has wonderful stories of her family and growing up in the Bronx :) All hobbies and interests' welcome :) Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
