About who needs care: Sleeps a lot; largely able to move and dress herself, but will be less able to do on some days and probably less so as the months progress; still needs help with rising and sitting, showering, ; does wear Depends as incontinence is now an issue; meal prep is fairly easy, does not require large or full course meals at any given time, but does need some consistency with basic breakfast , sometimes lunch, and dinners. needs medications administered AM / PM, [probably only once per day as we do not anticipate needing more than perhaps 4 - 6 hours of help most days]; Can currently get around with a walker, and may need to walk outside for 15- 20", more or less; *** NOTE: *** We do have a large (85 pound) but VERY friendly dog, so anybody assisting will need to not only tolerate him but must like and be comfortable with him , no exceptions please ; also two cats, so anyone with pet allergies probably would not work out too well. About the care needs: Basic kindness and attention to details / habits of my mother; a lot of time it may be hours of essentially baby-sitting while she's sleeping, or just making sure she is safe getting up and around, getting small informal meals, etc Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
