About who needs care: I'm looking for in-home care for my Aunt. She's 82 and is currently recovering from a broken wrist from a fall at home. She also has a prosthetic leg, and her stability has worsened over time. To help minimize the risk of future incidents, we're hoping to find someone that can come into her home 3-4 days a week, for 4-5 hours a day. The services needed will include day-to-day tasks that she can no longer safely/easily handle herself. This will mostly involve tasks related to bathing, getting her ready for bed, laundry, and possibly some light meal prep around dinner time. We are also looking for someone that can occasionally run some simple errands for her close to home. Mostly grocery store runs, once a week. About the care needs: Someone with a good sense of humor, who's willing to approach daily tasks at a gradual pace, one at a time. My aunt can sometimes become slightly overwhelmed if too much direction or suggestion is being proposed at once, so finding someone patient and with a sensitivity to this would be an ideal fit. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
