About who needs care: Both my mother & father. Dad's dementia requires more attention & companionship. Mom's in cognitive decline but still pretty independent. Mom needs more oversight to keep her from doing things she shouldn't (knives, stove, walking down stairs without oversight). My sister & brother in law live with them but both works so need someone around. About the care needs: They've been married 73 years, lived in this home for 63 years. They are typically kind & very engaging with people. Well traveled, retired school teachers who love to share their stories. Both are hard of hearing so someone with patience & ability to stop & speak directly to them. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
