Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Modesto

About who needs care: My father is bed ridden, has neuropathy and mobility challenges. He can't bathe, he is in a diaper, needs to be fed his meals, needs to be repositioned every 2 hours, its good if he is out of his bed and in the wheel chair at least once a day, He has a electric hospital bed and a HOYER lift. He is alert, has a good memory. His hobbies are all gone at this point. He was a chef/caterer later in life and a car salesman and service manager in his early life. He likes watching old episodes of Johnny Carson and Sunday morning Mass on TV. He also loves listening to music, especially the jazz / pop music of the 50/60's. His daily or how his day is structured depends on how feels. For the most part, he is awake by 9:30a for his meds and breakfast. Then changing. Usually he goes back to sleep after his morning meal. Lunch is a light snack, Ensure or a yogurt. This is around 2-3 p.m. Dinner is served to him between 5:30-6:30 depending on he feels. After dinner, it is resting till time to be changed and then off to sleep. He does need someone here 24hours. We need someone two days a week to give our other caretaker a break. About the care needs: We would love someone with a personality with some if not all of these traits: friendly, patient, responsible, hard working, takes direction well, assertive and good at communicating. My dad likes a good joke and a good story. So someone who likes to tell stories and share a funny joke every now and then would be fantastic. Ideally, it would be awesome if we had a nursing student, medical student or former medical professional. It would be even more awesome, if we had someone who stayed here with him from Friday evening to Monday morning. We have a guest room available. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
