Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Martinez

About who needs care: Ken has advanced Alzheimer's, he is no longer mobile. We are looking for someone who is kind, caring and reliable to help with his medications, basic wound care, companionship, help with feeding, toileting and other personal care needs. Experience operating a Hoyer lift would be helpful, so he can spend some time out of bed in his wheelchair. K loves cars and motorcycles, and funny cat videos. We mostly need support on the weekends, and possibly some hours 1 day a week. About the care needs: We are looking for someone who is motivated, helpful, caring and kind. You will be working closely with K's wife Billie and existing caregivers to ensure K is well cared for, so being able to communicate well and work with others is important. Experience with basic first aid and wound care would be helpful, along with being able to operate a Hoyer lift. Because K is bed bound and can not move or lift himself, he will need to be moved and turned regularly. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
