My uncle (76) is recovering from colon surgery next week. We aren't sure if he will be released from the hospital on Tuesday (10/29) or Wednesday (10/30), but we expect he will need regular care for at least 4-8 hours every day for at least 1-2 weeks and then with decreased hours / days afterwards. He lives in Chinatown, and we can pay for costs of parking (there is a lot on the corner). He has a very pleasant disposition but is also very private. Patience and kindness is appreciated! Responsibilities will include: some light housekeeping, bathing, meal preparation, companionship (he likes talking), and maybe running errands (such as grocery shopping). We ask that you handle transportation as needed. Preferences for a caregiver who is CPR / first-aid trained.
