About who needs care: Bill is being discharged from SNF after 2 months of physical therapy, working on walking and balance. He will be discharged to home on 9/26 at 10 a.m. He was a Master Woodworker/teacher in his career and is no longer working on wood without a skilled companion. He built the house we live in. He likes talking with people and telling long stories. He is having memory problems and some confusion now. An ideal day would include 3 meals, a shopping trip, or a visit with a friend. He likes to go to a local restaurant where most people know him. His personality is loving and gracious. He accepts direction as long as it is polite and caring in tone. Our living area and bathrooms are upstairs About the care needs: Someone who is very patient and knows about Dementia. Allowing him to determine to a reasonable degree what he will be doing in a day. Someone who likes to cook because he likes "flavors". p. s. Trump is a dirty word in our house so he would not want to hear about any support for this candidate or most Republicans. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
