About the job
Seeking companion care in Laguna Woods for my father in his late 70s, who suffers from Parkinson's disease. We are looking for someone who can help my mother, so she can have some time to take care of herself. (She has recently recovered from breast cancer.) Ideally this person would come in 3-5 mornings a week for a few hours, to help get the day started, prep food/meals for the week, handle light housekeeping/errands, and make sure my dad's medications are organized, and that he's taking them. Transportation to doctor's appointments/errands as needed would be great, but is not an absolute requirement. Medication management is required. We might ask you to run errands now and then. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained. Experience working with Parkinson's patients is a plus, but not required.
