Help Needed For My Mom In Lafayette

About who needs care: My mom is currently going through esophageal cancer treatment. She is on a schedule now of chemo once a week followed by 5 days of radiation. She will complete her chemo treatments on October 30th and then will have a large surgery most likely sometime around Mid December. While her treatments are finished at the end of October, her doctors have warned her that November could be a difficult month for her in terms of dealing with all the side effects of chemo and radiation. This whole process has been particularly difficult for her because on top of how grueling chemotherapy can be for anyone - she has other pre-existing health conditions going into this battle. She is quite the trooper and tries to be as self sufficient as she can be but some days are better than others. It can be hard to keep up with daily tasks due to the pain and discomfort. She ideally would need someone to come by 3 or so times a week to help out with any errands she might need done, possible light cleaning, laundry, and dog care (walking, feeding, etc) for her two small shih tzus. About the care needs: Someone with a background in healthcare/nursing would be awesome but not necessary. Really just anyone willing to lend a hand with many of the daily tasks and duties we take for granted when we are feeling good and healthy. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
