About who needs care: Looking primarily for companionship, light cleaning and cooking; laundry and ensuring he eats and takes his meds. Dad can complete his self-care. He does receive meals from the Program. He can feed himself via these meals and other meals received from his family. Dad does have some memory issues/neuro-cognitive disorder (dementia). Uses a cane. A typical day would be to ensure he eats, takes his meds and light cleaning of dishes/kitchen. When needed: cleaning of restrooms and laundry, vacuuming. Someone to talk with. About the care needs: Dad can talk about cars and boats, animals. He painted cars for his living. He makes crosses as a craft. He does not have a good sense of trust with others - even his family. This has always been his character - paranoia. Someone with a sense of humor and patience would be appreciated. A sensible cook - easy, well-balanced meals. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
