Hands-on Care Needed For My Husband In Healdsburg

About who needs care: My husband had a stroke and cannot walk or use his right hand. He needs some lifting to eat or get in his wheelchair and help getting on a commode and wiping his BM. Within two weeks he will be getting speech, occupational, physical therapy in home. He might need showering and sitting on a shower chair. Getting him onto the shower chair. About the care needs: Cheerful, strong enough to move a 198 pound man. I am a older small woman and cannot lift him. He will laugh and smile and talk if you are friendly. He was a big strong man very independent and was a contractor before he had the stoke. We are both shocked and devastated by this. He is only 60! He is supposed to recover but it may take a long while. He has an electric wheel chair and can be taken on walks. We live on the Russian river and it is very beautiful here. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
