About the job
Seeking caregivers to assist with 71-year-old paraplegic woman. She cannot feel from the waist down but is mobile once in her wheelchair. We are open to more than one caregiver coming at different times. All shifts require: - assistance transferring to/from wheelchair and bed/sofa (with hoyer lift if needed) - patient is incontinent and needs to be changed - help heating food - light housekeeping including taking out trash, loading and unloading dishwasher, sweeping, wipe counters, make bed. Some shifts will include bathing. Occasionally, we will extend shifts as needed to take the patient for running errands such as grocery and clothes shopping (all within five mile radius). Some caregivers may be asked to driver to doctors' appointments within LA county. Transportation vehicle is provided.
