About who needs care: My mother has glioblastoma and suffers from periodic mild seizures in her arm as a result of where the tumor is located in her head. My stepfather is taking care of her around the clock but she is also in his 70s and our family feels he needs the extra support taking care of my mom with transferring her to her wheelchair to go to the bathroom or into her bed. May need assistance taking her out on short walks outside. May need help with some PT exercises as well as running errands to the grocery store and bank.
About the care needs: Someone who is comfortable with the physical demands of transferring my mom to and from her bed, sofa, and wheelchair. Someone who will willingly go the extra mile to ensure my mom and stepdad have peace of mind and who will willingly run errands as needed. Would like someone who is an RN. Someone who is patient, easy going, warm hearted, thoughtful, assertive, organized, an excellent communicator.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
