About the job
We're seeking a live-in caregiver to our wonderful 80-year-old dad in his Fair Oaks home. He is awake from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. so actual hands-on care is approx. 14 hours per day (he sleeps through the night/no wandering). We are seeking a LIVE-IN caregiver who can commit to 96 hours weekly (4 days x 24 hours). His daughter and another caregiver will relieve you for three days in the week. He needs assistance with meds, bathing, toileting/incontinence care, meals, physical therapy/cognitive therapy exercises, and close observation with walker. He is able to feed himself, participate in thoughtful conversations, and he can complete portions of his daily routine with minimal assistance, however, he does need frequent cues for safety and hygiene. No dementia or Alzheimer's but he is forgetful. Compensation and hours negotiable. Nonsmoker.
