About the job
Looking companion care for my active mother in her 70s. She is largely independent and does not need assistance with bathing or hygiene or eating etc. Important - she can get agitated so must be a calm person who be reassuring and redirect her attention, patiently help her navigate. She will take her own medication but needs help remembering her schedule. Some light tidying up is involved. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation. We'll need you to do some shopping and small errands weekly. May need to driver her occasionally although my aunts or I will or her husband (my step dad) will drive her. Caregiver must be a non-smoker, ok with a dog and CPR / first-aid trained + some experience with elderly/ dementia. Hours can be flexible. Bonus if can work 2-3 nights Ideally 40-50 hours weekly.
