About who needs care: My 84-year-old mother suffers from Dimentia and Parkinsonism. She can walk with a walker but slowly. She spends most of the time in bed, although we are applying more physical therapy to strengthen her limbs. She can walk to the bathroom unassisted with her walker, but does need help taking off her pants and diaper. The caregiver needs to keep an eye on her during my working hours, which are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. M-F, although I do work from home. She currently has a caregiver service that whose hourly rate is no longer affordable for me. About the care needs: Preferably the caregiver has some experience caring for people with Dimentia or memory issues, but not a requirement. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
