About the job
About who needs care: Sister in law. Has Parkinsons and a cancerous tumor on her liver. Will start cancer treatment in September. Linda needs someone who is reliable, friendly (but not overly), organized. Her biggest need is to have someone who can keep track of her Doctor appointments, pick up her prescriptions, maybe take her to and from appointments. Also she may want someone to help her prepare meals Linda was an amazing cook. Her Parkinsons greatly limits her ability to chop, dice, prepare ingredients for nourishing dishes. (Shes always eaten clean and healthy but her Parkinsons has limited her diet). Her husband, my brother, recently suffered a heart attack and GI problems resulting in a colostomy bag and 1 stent. He is currently at a SNF and we dont know date of his discharge. He will not be going to the Coronado home but to a nearby property. I do not know Lindas schedule. She seems to be better in the morning and she usually naps in the afternoon. The house is 2 story and Linda can carefully negotiate the stairs. There is 1 kitty and Linda is very fond of it. Its comforting to her. I can give you more information as needed. About the care needs: Someone sweet, gentle, soft spoken (but not too, Lindas hearing is not the best) caring and reliable. Services needed include: transportation.
