About the job
I'm a single daughter and full-time caregiver for a mother with Parkinson's Dementia. I'm looking for respite. I also have my own physical limitations and find taking care of our two story 5-bedroom house overwhelming. We are not morning people, so hours would be afternoon into evening. I'd like someone who can do anything from pick up prescriptions to sit and watch TV, vacuum, mop, do mom's laundry, cook dinner, maybe help me organize cupboards, or join us for outings like concerts or the beach. I hope to find someone who doesn't need to be asked or told what to do, but who can see something that needs to be done and, if time allows, offer to help. Hours/days are flexible. We hope to make a new friend/family member who will stay with us long term. If things go well or you would like to help more with housekeeping more, hours are available.
