About the job
Care needed for my 80-year-old mother w late-stage Parkinson's disease in my home in south Carlsbad (with my wife, 2 young kids & a golden retriever). She is alert but gets forgetful and/or confused due to Parkinson's. She has extremely limited mobility & spends much of her time in bed. She has rigidity in her arms/hands/neck and needs help with bathing, teeth brushing, dressing, feeding, meds, etc. Caregiver MUST be able to bear weight & help shift her body in her bed, shift her from bed to wheelchair/commode. Daily physical therapy/practice walking. Seeking a proactive companion who enjoys chatting, playing triva, etc. (not spending too much time on the phone). Must be punctual, very reliable & have your own reliable transportation. Take her to appointments (your car or ours). Wash/fold her laundry/keep her room clean/wash dishes.
