Personal Home Care For Mother With ALS - Santa Clarita

We're looking for a personal home caregiver/aide near Santa Clarita for my mother (70) who has ALS. She's been very recently diagnosed and we're still adjusting to all of the changes. She's not experiencing any cognitive decline and can still speak but physically she's very limited in leg, arm and hand function. This means that she needs help with all activities (sit/stand/mobility, eating, toileting, bathing, etc.) as well as companionship/things to enrich her life. At this time, we're looking for care during the week, part or full-time (20-40 hrs/week). However, as things progress we'd likely be looking to increase the total hours. Ideally, we'd be looking for something with experience with ALS and a non-smoker. Also need to be able to handle some heavy lifting (assisting with standing) and/or experience using lifts.
