Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Burlingame

About who needs care: I will be at my mother (Renee's) home in Burlingame during the time that the caregiver is there. Renee has real difficulty with walking. She uses a wheelchair. She will need help getting to the bathroom, using the toilet, and getting into bed at night & out of bed in the AM- early afternoon. RENEE SPEAKS FLUENT SPANISH. It would be fine to have a Spanish-speaking caregiver lady, as long as she speaks some English so that I (daughter) can communicate with her. Renee is still relatively sharp. Knows who we are, still reads the newspaper, etc. She loves company, and likes to hear what the caregiver has to say - stories to tell are always fun. About the care needs: Personality - An outgoing personality would be nice. Someone who likes to chat and tell some stories. Patient person, and very nice would be great! Specialized Skills: Ability to maneuver Renee in her wheelchair. Get her to the bathroom in time. Renee wears 'Depends' Also, needs the ability to help her sit down on the toilet seat, and help her to get up and seated back into her wheelchair. Caregiver must have some strength. Renee does not have very strong leg strength at this time. Help with getting Renee dressed after she gets up. No specific hobbies or interests. Just a nice and patient person. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
