About who needs care: My mother has Alzheimer's stage 6. He primary care giver is her husband but he is older and it is too much for him to care for the house and her. My mom needs help showering and with hygiene. She wears adult diapers/pull ups as she often does not make it to the bathroom mostly with pee but once a week or so with poo. She has an arthritic hip (bone on bone) which causes pain and limits mobility. She sleeps in a lift chair and must use a walker or wheelchair. She remembers family but can only remember the last 10 minutes. She is starting to have trouble swallowing. About the care needs: Experience with Alzheimer's / memory care. Need to wash/bath, help with the toilet, and if there is an bathroom accident. Need to be able to give medication and lotion Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
