About who needs care: Foley catheter in place because of urinary obstruction, bag needs to be emptied twice a day. Cardiac (h/o MI, bipass and stents), stroke (min residual), deaf, pre-diabetes Interested in woodworking (but hasn't done in years) Get up at 8:30-9:00, Eat, Sleeps quite a bit, possibly works on the computer, read his bible, eat dinner, maybe watch some TV, bed by 8-9 p.m. About the care needs: Patience ... my dad does not sign but uses an app to communicate. So takes a bit of time. Skills needed - know how to empty a foley bag. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
