Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Berkeley

About who needs care: My mom is former teacher who has dementia and chronic arthritis. She is bedbound so needs 100% help with bathing, changing, and feeding primarily. She is lovely and sweet but basically non-verbal. She recently came out of hospice and is stable but needs support. Ideally the caregiver can operate a hoyer lift to get her into her wheelchair so she may leave the bed for meals or to go out for fresh air. Afterwards she goes back to bed and loves to listen to music and enjoys being read to. About the care needs: Someone who is female, and not overly talkative or loud . Fluency in English. A sense of humor and cheerful disposition. Light housekeeping is needed (laundry, dishes, bed making, preparing light breakfast and lunch etc) as my father also lives at the house but is quite independent. He manages the meds and the children do the shopping and appointments so all the work is within the home. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
