About who needs care: Parent has Parkinson's disease, mid to late stage. Parent is still mobile but can easily lose balance. Needs some reminders about taking medication timely and eating meals on normal schedule. May need some help with lifting arms to get dressed or putting on socks. Also need person to keep parent active with some light stretches/movement as well as general company/companionship. Will need to be driven to occasional appointments or for shopping. Some light housekeeping needed too. About the care needs: Person should be detail-oriented, very patient, experience with fragile patients and those with parkinson's disease. Able to cook basic meals, knows how to keep things tidy and clean. Personable and friendly. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
