About who needs care: On Hospice with COPD, Edema, on oxygen 24/7, chronic pain Reading, talking, well-educated, likes to talk about people and relationships In bed or on the living room couch with legs elevated, reading, sorting paperwork, talking on phone, or tetxing About the care needs: Outgoing, social personality that is not too dominant. Must be organized enough to ensure our Mom takes meds on time and eats regularly, and astute enough to know when to check with family on changing needs. Don't necessarily need to have specific hobbies or interests but someone who is well read would be good. Kindness and compassion are the most important attributes. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
