About the job
About who needs care: He has dementia, but can carry on good conversation. He will forget what he said and repeat himself often. He is very friendly and social. He has heart disease, high cholesterol, had a knee replacement, and has problems with syncope. He loves fishing. He loves a good meal and it would be great to prepare a meal for him. His day is usually: He wakes up around 0900, have some coffee and breakfast, watch TV for several hours, lunch, a little walk outside, dinner, more TV and bedtime. He frequently needs assistance with use of devices. Often he says his devices are broken and he can't call or text. Care visits would be to check to make sure his refrigerator has food, he has his medications, the trailer is in decent shape, and prepare a lunch for him once a week. About the care needs: Friendly, outgoing and patient. Ability to get to him, so 4 wheel or all wheel drive will possibly be needed in the winter. He lives on the top of a mountain so he is a bit remote. Should know how to use Apple phone and computer. He loves fishing, so if they have an interest in fishing that would be great. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
