About who needs care: My parents and I are looking for help in their home with some companion care for my 85-year-old mother with mid-stage Alzheimer's Disease (outdoor walks, driving errands using your vehicle, prescribed exercises, other random activities), meal preparation/cooking, light housekeeping and cleaning (make beds, do laundry, vacuum, load/unload dishwasher, wash dishes, clean kitchen). My mother currently can manager her personal care (dressing, bathing, toileting, eating, hearing aids, medication, etc.). My father is generally able-bodied but randomly plagued by gout and arthritis pain that affects his ability to consistently handle household upkeep. The number of days and hours per day are flexible but generally for a few hours per day, 1-2 days per week, starting after 10 a.m. and finishing before 5 or 6 p.m. The number of days might increase temporarily, depending on my father's physical condition and availability of myself and my siblings due to out-of-town trips. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
