About who needs care: Very funny and brilliant introvert who has mid stage Alzheimer's. Great long term memory and talks in great detail about a wide variety of topics. He is beginning to have problems using his phone or the TV remote. He makes his own breakfast and lunch, naps, watches TV and reads. He has fallen a few times and I just want someone to stay in the house in case that happens again. About the care needs: He has always been content to live alone, but if the person is pleasant, and not overbearing, No special skills other than being supportive and positive. I think he will gradually drop his guard. If the person is interested in guitar, rock and roll or movies, that would be great. No hobbies to speak of. His leaves for work around 7:30 and gets home around 4 p.m. so we hope about 3 hours of time, maybe 11-2, a few days a week will be a good start. As time goes on he will need more care. Services needed include: companionship.
