About who needs care: Chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure, mobility issues from back problem. Had Covid a few weeks ago, which caused a hypertension crisis that put her in the hospital for a few days still regaining strength from that experience. Hobbies and interests: church, reading, watching TV. Used to enjoy sewing. Fairly religious and conservative. Nice lady who needs some company. Structure of day: does not get going until late morning. Had been visiting her son, 64, who had a serious stroke eight years that left him disabled. He lives in a nursing home. Has not been able to see him for a month. About the care needs: Someone who is kind, outgoing and likes people. Must be fluent in English. Car necessary. Duties might include driving her to drs appts or to visit her son, light housekeeping, picking up prescriptions, preparing simple meals. She has her groceries delivered. I am her daughter-in-law. My husband and I live nearby from November thru April but live in Minnesota the rest of the year. She has a lovely home in the Catalina Foothills with a pretty patio and views. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
